Booking an Appointment Do’s and Don’ts
Booking a tattoo for the first time or at a new shop can be a confusing or daunting process- we want to make the experience as pleasant and welcoming for you as possible. Here’s a few tips for our appointment booking process that will help you get into our chairs with little hassle!
DO:
Have a reference image of the tattoo you want! It doesn’t have to be the exact tattoo you want but a guideline- tell us what you like about what you sent us. Or if you want to just come poke at our flash that is fine too!
DONT:
When we ask you what it is, say “It’s just something small” . Something small can mean different things to different people, and even if it is quarter sized it doesn’t give us the level of detail we need to prepare for. Be specific and direct.
DO:
Give us some heads up. We want to tattoo all of your arms and leggies and everything between, but our artists stay pretty booked so the more advance notice you give us, especially if you’re coming in a group of 2 or more or have a specific artist you want to be tattooed by. We do take walk ins but we cannot guarentee availability
DONT:
Call us immediately after making a request form online. We take up to 3 biz days normally to reply to those, be patient we are trying our best to put you in the schedule. A good rule of thumb is if the appointment you want is more than a week away, send us a form= if its less than a week away you can try booking via text.
DO:
Book a consultation! If you’re getting a big piece or want something very intricate drawn it’s great to chat one on one for 10 minutes to understand your vision and create something together. Consults are free and any deposit made that day goes toward the day of tattooing.
DONT:
Try to avoid booking your tattoo on a strict timeline. If you have a flight to catch, a wedding to attend, or an unmoveable reservation right after the tattoo it puts some stress on the artists to get it done in a time frame. We’d rather take the time to create art everyone is happy with.
